American Dad Season 2
The second season of the series American Dad premiered on 10th September 2006. In the first episode, Stan forces Steve to attend a summer camp, which turns out to be a refugee camp in Africa. Steve introduces his overweight girlfriend to Stan, who becomes conscious of keeping his weight under control. After a car sales man outwits Steve in a negotiation, he loses not only his job but his confidence as well. Later, Stan follows his heart to speak for Gay Republicans at the Republican national Convention. When Francine declares that she wants to bring back excitement in their marriage, Stan joins in for drag racing. Francine tries to convince Stan to have another baby, when Steve becomes more serious with his girlfriend. Francine on discovering about her husband’s passion for figure skating, volunteers to be his partner, but is abandoned by Stan for a better partner.
On finding out that his father is not so smart, Steve runs away to New York along with Roger to become rich and famous, while his family believes that the two have run away to the tree house. Stan’s spirits are at an all time low on Christmas, because he believes that the only way to save Christmas is to end the kill Jane Fonda and end the Vietnam War. Stan wins an essay competition, as a result of which President Bush comes over to have dinner with the family, when Hayley drills him on Iraq war and Steve and Roger get him drunk. Not satisfied by his progress at work Stan goes into the business of making teddy-bears employing illegal aliens at low wages. On being rejected by Steve, Roger finds another human friend, who soon starts to abuse him and Steve and Hayley plan to get Roger home. Stan and Steve are threatened with their lives when come to know about a conspiracy that has been going on since the civil war and decide to publicize it. Stan mistakes a nuclear drill at the CIA for real and thinking that the world will come to an end takes his family to the mountains to save them from the disaster. Bullock accidentally kills Francine’s friend whom Stan had set as his dates. To stop Francine from asking any questions, Stan frames her for the murder. Stan discovers Francine’s sex garden who asks Stan for a divorce to let him become a bachelor again and renew their romance. Stan gets all his neighbors evicted when he comes to know about their feelings for him, with the help of an eves dropping machine. Stan, who is prosecuted for sending infected cattle to the slaughter house, confesses that he was trying to make a man out of Steve. In the final episode of the season, Roger and Stan chase Jeff, who is involved in smuggling pot across the country.
Seasons Top Ranked Episode - Joint Custody
This was the season’s 19th and final episode and was aired on 20th May 2007. In this episode, Stan and Roger plan to collect some the reward by handing over Jeff to Florida police. Jeff is wanted in connection with smuggling marijuana across the country. Later in the show Stan learns that Jeff is innocent and saves him. On the other hand Steve is sure of him being cursed with some psychic gift.
