Let’s Learn A Little More About The Creator Of American Dad!
Friday, May 15th, 2009Hey people! We have come to love the genius of the creator of our favorite animated series American Dad. We have written innumerable words praising the show, the characters, the story lines and almost everything that is associated with the show. But then, most of us have never explored the real person, who is brains behind American Dad.
Yeah we know that Seth MacFarlane is a great comedian or that he has been named as the smartest person on television for 2008. But then, it is what we have read about the guy in blogs, and maybe some gossip columns. So today, I thought of giving you an idea about what Seth MacFarlane, the man who gave us a show like American Dad, really is like.
Seth MacFarlane likes to identify himself as a fan of science fiction, be it in the form of Star Wars or Star Trek. Besides being a great comedian, Seth is an accomplished pianist and singer. He is an atheist and a supporter of gay rights and gay marriage. During the WGA strike in 2007-2008, he publicly supported and fully participated in the strike.
He is also a frequent guest speaker on various college campuses. A little known fact about this creative genius is that, he narrowly escaped boarding the American Airlines Flight 11, from Boston to Massachusetts, which was later hijacked and flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, on September 11, 2001.
However, Seth does not think much of this close call with death, as he feels that there are many close calls in everyday life, and one can even narrowly escape being hit by an oncoming vehicle, while crossing the street. He feels that, such incidents should not affect him, as he is a comedy writer and needs to put all this behind him, to bring out his creative best. Also Seth is a supporter of the Democratic Party and has donated $10,000 for U.S. President Barack Obama’s election campaign, besides speaking in his favor at a rally during the 2008 elections.
I hope the above write up has given you an insight into the personality of the creator of our most loved animated series American Dad, which is currently airing its Season 4.
